When youngsters are getting near the main exam time of their school year, there is a palpable nervousness in the air. The schools are so forceful about needing every single student to perform to the absolute maximum, that any child who feels left behind is apt to panic and possibly opt out for fear of failure. This is one of the worst aspects of league table driven education standards. There are ways around this though. If the child has the common sense to say to a parent or better still, the teacher, that they don’t quite understand everything, then remedial steps can be taken early on. Lots of online education courses are available to help a child to catch up and fill any gaps in their understanding of a subject so that they can take their place in the class with confidence. Nothing blights and child’s development than feeling they’re in the wrong place at school.
