Pandemic Causes Education Panic Measures

This has certainly been a very peculiar year for just about every section of the community.  Schools have been open now for several months – having had to shut for weeks during the first lockdown.   There was so much disruption to classes and learning in general that a new way of dealing with pandemic conditions needed to be applied.   Schools just were not equipped to transfer all the learning programmes and time tabled subjects to online format.  The teachers themselves are not able to just turn round on a sixpence and deliver everything children need in such a short space of time.  There’s a whole education and learning department that should be addressing this problem and yet they seem to be leaving it to individual schools to conjur up the online materials and presentation skills.  Children are very adaptable and will indeed learn in their own way at home with parental or guardian encouragement but the teachers need help in preparing adequate materials for them to do so.
