There are so many facets of home learning these days. Thanks to some very forward thinking folks over the last few years, the world of e-learning and online courses has exploded and we have multiple choices of routes into the education system. This has been particularly relevant over the last few months whilst schols and universities have been in the most stringent lockdown in british education history – bar the evacuation programme at the start of the second world war of course. Thinking back to those times, I can recall my parent talking about their widely differing experiences, to the point where my father managed to block them from his recall faculties altogether. It was a complex undertaking, getting thousands of youngsters shipped out away from the industrial and business centres – allocated to temporary families and having to get on with it. Different schooling was endured and accepted. No one seems to have whined, argued or protested and they all had access to education. Imagine how different it would have been if e-learing and ome learning sites were up and running back in the day..
